Your Experience


During our consultation we will walk you through the planning process, discuss your vision and assist you with determining the perfect venue location & vendor options to ensure that your vision becomes a reality.

We always ask our couples to describe themselves in three words, as well as tell us what their MUST HAVES are. This gives us amazing insight to who they are as it is important to us that we have an open and trusting relationship. We want to know our clients inside and out as much as we want them to know us.

Our Team


Chelsye Harp


Starting her career in the Marketing & Design industry, Chelsye soon realized how much she loved the creative world. From planning corporate and fundraiser events to designing her first wedding in 2007, there was no turning back. Intrigue was established the following year.

In fact, when asked what she loves most about the event industry, she says…“It’s one of the greatest feelings to be a part of an event that will ultimately change someones life. Having an opportunity to plan and design an event for hundreds is incredible. It’s that moment when you see them experience what you have helped to create that you know you have made their vision a reality. We love to make dreams come true.”

Shae Foreman

Marketing Director

Shae began her professional career as an elementary school teacher in 2017, yes she has the patience of a queen, and after graduating from Shippensburg University, Pennsylvania she became a teacher. From there she decided she wanted to begin taking hospitality and tourism courses and earned her Event Management certification in 2019. After getting a taste of the hospitality industry she knew in her heart this was the career path for her and was ready to make the transition. With all the charm and beauty of Charleston that brings 7+ million people here each year for their weddings, events, and vacations alike, she couldn’t wait to find her place among it all!

Shae’s passion is creating content that evokes warmth and emotion. She loves photography and creating videos, and her utmost, passion is to help others. She says, “For as long as I can remember, I have had a camera in hand. It’s a dream come true to share the beauty of life while working in this exciting industry!”

When Shae isn’t working on creative projects for Intrigue, she enjoys being active through sports and exercise, adventuring around Charleston, her two kitties, and spending time with her family and friends. Be on the lookout for some behind-the-scenes with the Intrigue team as Shae always has them doing something crazy.

Marcie Gurany

Venue Manager

A graduate of the College of Charleston in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Marcie has spent years gaining practical knowledge throughout various roles in the hospitality industry. Previously working for one of Charleston’s primary restaurant groups, she brings a unique perspective of guest experience to event production and venue development.

Her passion for helping people makes her a connector who loves bringing people together. There is nothing that makes her happier than to see others happy! Marcie brings her enthusiasm, kindness, and passion for events to the team. She loves giving back to the community and supporting charities such as Special Olympics, Legacy of Hope, and Best Buddies.

On the weekends you can find her grabbing a Starbucks and sitting outside in the sunshine, daydreaming about adopting a cavalier puppy, or planning out her next travel destination!

Ashley Karanik

Wedding Planner

After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Marketing and Communications, Ashley began her professional career in the luxury bridal industry. With an interest in events, she filled her weekends assisting some of New York’s most established Event Planners to learn all she could about the wedding industry.

In 2017, she had the unique opportunity to work at the William Aiken House for her first Charleston wedding. After that weekend she knew that one day she’d make Charleston her new home. After five years in Manhattan, she packed her bags, and jet set to the Low Country with her Bengal cat, Ringo.

Detail-obsessed, she loves meeting creative couples and making their design dreams come to fruition. When she isn’t meeting with clients, you can find her at a Crossfit Gym Glass, or enjoying a well-shaken dirty martini out on the town.
