There are seemingly endless details to think about when planning your perfect wedding. One of the most important, though often overlooked, aspects is your transportation. Regardless if you’re looking to get a little wild on a party bus or arrive in a stylish, intimate fashion with a classic car, its vital to take a few steps to make sure your wedding transportation is in place.
Plan in Advance
Charleston is clearly a highly sought-after wedding & event destination. According to Lowcountry Valet’s Jeffery Newton, the first step is to plan early.
“Most people don’t realize that great transportation is in high demand with weekends selling out 6-12 months in advance,” he said. “Planning early gives you a chance to really get to know the companies you are choosing, do site visits to see their fleet, and make an overall informed choice. After all, the company you choose will be tasked with safely transporting your most near and dear. That alone makes it one of your most important decisions. Don’t get stuck having to choose the leftovers.”
Money saving tip : If you decide to provide hotel options, it is best to limit them to no more than 3 places to cut down on transportation time. This also reduces the odds of transportation related delays happening.
Consider Everyone’s Needs
While local weddings and destination weddings will face many of the same challenges that require transportation, such as parking and alcohol consumption, destination weddings have the added issue of out-of-town guests not being familiar with the area. That makes it extra important for those visiting for a Charleston wedding to consider everyone’s unique needs.
“I think people often overlook the needs of the elderly and guests with young children,” Newton said. “If you are providing transportation, it is nice to offer an early return shuttle for those who may not be able to make it to those later hours of the reception.”
Our new vehicle will hold 50 passengers and includes a nitrogen draft bar system for alcohol and non-alcohol drink options. It has custom porcelain tile flooring, beautiful brass fixtures and accents and, the best thing yet, a bad ass AC system. This bus will be even more of what our clients have come to expect with our vehicles.
Create a Memory
Intrigue is always thinking of how to do something different, right down to the slightest details. To make your vision of your perfect day a reality, we believe every aspect should not only go smoothly but should also drop jaws. To make your wedding transportation stand out, Lowcountry Valet has special new additions to their vehicle fleet for 2018: a one-of-a-kind new ride and a helpful new system to track their locations, so you can relax and enjoy the day.
“I’m super excited to announce we are in the process of releasing our third generation, custom vintage bus for bookings in 2018. We’re calling her “Dorothy”,” Newton said. “It will hold 50 passengers and includes a nitrogen draft bar system (alcohol and non alcohol drink options), custom porcelain tile flooring, beautiful brass fixtures and accents and, the best thing yet, a bad ass AC system to keep everyone comfortable while riding in a timeless beauty like this one. This bus will be even more of what our clients have come to expect with our vehicles. We also plan to release our new website and fully integrated mobile app that will let guests track 1 or 100 vehicles simultaneously and get push notifications when vehicles arrive and depart their locations. We are super pumped to launch these new features for our clients.”
You will want to feel confident in your wedding day transportation and know your wedding guests will be comfortable while they are en route to your wedding. It’s important to talk to vendors and make sure you not only feel confident, but you feel comfortable and secure in their ability to make sure your wedding day runs smoothly.2018, advice, Beach Wedding, Charleston, Charleston Area, Charleston Bride, Design, downtown, event planner, fall, Folly Beach Wedding, intrigue, intrigue design and events, isle of palms, Kiawah Island, limo, lowcountry valet, Mount Pleasant, Real Weddings, Southern Bride, Southern Wedding, Spring, sullivans island, tips, transportation, vintage cars, Wedding Planner, Weddings
